White House Physician Releases Trump Health Update..@#

President Donald Trump remains in “excellent health” and is “fully fit” to carry out presidential duties, according to a medical report released Friday following a comprehensive examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The report, authored by Dr. Sean Barbabella, detailed an extensive series of evaluations Trump underwent during his Tuesday visit, including a CT scan, advanced cardiac imaging, cancer screenings, and preventative health assessments conducted by 22 medical specialists. Trump, 79, spent approximately three hours at Walter Reed and later told reporters the examination went “perfectly.”

What the Examination Revealed

Trump weighed 238 pounds during the examination, a 14-pound increase from his April 2025 physical, with a body mass index of 29.7. Medical guidelines classify a BMI of 30 or higher as obese, placing Trump just below that threshold.

Barbabella’s report documented minor bruising on Trump’s hands, attributing it to “minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking” and noting it as “a common and benign effect of aspirin therapy.” The physician recommended a switch to low-dose aspirin.

Trump demonstrated strong cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological health with no significant abnormal findings identified, according to the report. “His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being,” Barbabella wrote.

Cognitive Assessment and Cholesterol Improvements

Trump scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a screening tool for cognitive impairment, matching results from 2025 and 2018 evaluations.

His total cholesterol measured 143, down significantly from 223 in 2018. Doctors attributed the improvement to medications including rosuvastatin and ezetimibe, which lower LDL cholesterol while improving HDL levels.

The White House disclosed last year that Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, a common age-related condition causing blood to pool in the legs. This year’s examination showed slight lower-leg swelling, though physicians noted improvement since last year’s evaluation.

Context and Transparency

This marks the fourth publicly disclosed medical evaluation since Trump returned to office for his second term. The release comes as the administration seeks to demonstrate the president’s fitness ahead of the midterm election cycle.

Presidential health disclosures remain a matter of public interest, though no legal requirement mandates presidents release complete medical records. Administrations from both parties have historically chosen the level of transparency regarding medical information.

Trump, who turns 80 next month, was the oldest person ever elected president at the time of his election. His predecessor, President Joe Biden, left office at age 82 after ending his 2024 reelection campaign amid concerns about his age and fitness for another term.
