What Eric Trump Revealed

Months later, Eric Trump addressed the viral moment during an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show in November 2025. “And he goes, you know, like – it was something so polite I almost wouldn’t even get it right – but [something], like, ‘Congratulations and best of luck to you’ – or something like that,” Eric told Kelly about his conversation with Barron.

Eric characterized his brother as measured and courteous. “He’s probably thinking it. He definitely has it up here, but like, he’s too courteous to actually go out there and say it. Barron’s a really nice kid,” Eric said.

Melania’s Response

Insiders reported that Melania became upset over the public discussion of her son. According to Hollywood insider Rob Shuter, Melania believed the comments violated her longstanding boundary protecting Barron from public scrutiny. “She does not want Barron discussed. Ever,” the source said. “She’s deeply uncomfortable with Barron trending again. He’s in college. He wants a quiet life.”
