The report also alleged Lynch owed between $50,000 and $100,000 in unpaid federal taxes for the 2025 tax year.

An ethics complaint was filed urging the Senate Ethics Committee to investigate Lynch’s financial disclosures and the source of his campaign funding. Lynch has not publicly responded to the specific allegations about unpaid taxes.

Lynch’s Background Issues

Lynch acknowledged a 1984 felony cocaine trafficking conviction, describing it as part of his personal journey involving addiction and redemption. He claimed he later received a presidential pardon, but Justice Department pardon records have not confirmed this claim.

Lynch also faced questions about a 1985 South Carolina case involving allegations he left the scene of an accident with injuries. He denied the incident was a hit-and-run, and court records show he ultimately pleaded guilty to other charges in the case.

The candidate previously made comments supporting cocaine legalization, which he later argued were taken out of context. Graham’s campaign released an advertisement showing Lynch struggling to answer basic constitutional questions during a recorded interview.
