Ashley Biden Files For Divorce From Husband After 13 Years….#
Ashley Biden, daughter of former President Joe Biden, has filed for divorce from her husband, Dr. Howard Krein, after more than 13 years of marriage. The 44-year-old submitted the filing on Monday in Philadelphia’s Court of Common Pleas. Because divorce records in the city are not public, no official reason for the separation has been disclosed.
On the same day as the filing, Ashley shared a reflective Instagram post showing herself walking through a park and giving a thumbs-up. The post, set to Beyoncé’s song “Freedom,” included a message about embracing change and personal growth: “New life, new beginnings, means new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like they did before.”
Ashley and Krein were introduced by her late brother, Beau Biden, and married in June 2012 in Greenville, Delaware. She later spoke about her wedding during the 2020 Democratic National Convention, recalling her father’s deep involvement. She described him helping prepare the venue, arranging details, and becoming emotional during the process, offering a glimpse into his personal side.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden is facing renewed scrutiny over his use of an autopen—a device that replicates signatures—to sign official documents while in office. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has questioned whether frequent reliance on the device could affect the legality of certain pardons and executive orders issued toward the end of Biden’s presidency. He suggested that an ongoing investigation may examine whether proper authorization procedures were followed.
Legal experts have also weighed in, noting that the Constitution requires presidential signatures on official acts, raising questions about whether autopen use fully satisfies that requirement. Some have further questioned whether Biden personally approved each decision. Despite this, Biden has maintained that he authorized all pardons, even if he did not individually review every name in broader actions.
