Marco Rubio Reveals Bizarre ‘Death’ Scare Aboard Air Force One…#

Secretary of State Marco Rubio disclosed that he and senior officials spent roughly 90 minutes uncertain whether an unidentified passenger aboard Air Force One was experiencing a medical crisis during a return flight from China.

Rubio detailed the incident during an appearance on the Katie Miller Podcast, explaining that officials deliberated extensively about whether to intervene with the sleeping individual. The person remained unresponsive to external stimuli and displayed concerning respiratory patterns, according to Rubio’s account.

The Deliberation

Officials faced a difficult calculus about waking the passenger. “We spent about 90 minutes sort of debating should we make a move? Should we deal with this?” Rubio said during the podcast interview.

Concerns about embarrassment if the person was simply in deep sleep weighed against the alternative scenario. “Because it’s embarrassing if you wake them up,” Rubio acknowledged. “But if they were dead, like what do you do? You have a dead body on the plane,” he added.

No aircraft physician was summoned and no attempt was made to wake the individual during the 90-minute period of uncertainty. The situation ultimately resolved without requiring officials to take action.

The Resolution

“Luckily, the person was fine,” Rubio said, providing no further details about the outcome. Rubio declined to identify the sleeping passenger, and no other official has publicly confirmed the individual’s identity.

The incident sparked social media speculation about potential candidates, with some users offering humorous theories about who was aboard the aircraft. Rubio’s refusal to name the person generated significant online discussion.

Congressional Context

The anecdote gained additional prominence due to a related incident from approximately one month earlier. During a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, Democratic California Rep. Ted Lieu questioned Rubio about whether President Trump had fallen asleep in meetings.

“I’ve never seen him fall asleep,” Rubio responded. “On the contrary, the guy doesn’t sleep, which is a big problem.”

Lieu presented video he characterized as evidence showing Trump with his eyes closed during a cabinet meeting. “Secretary Rubio, I’m going to show you, in a moment, a video that shows you just lied to Congress,” Lieu said.

Rubio maintained his assertion that he had never witnessed Trump fall asleep. No formal congressional action has been reported regarding Lieu’s accusation.
